Jo Asker is a prolific performer in the Northern Colorado music scene. He plays bass comfortably in a diverse array of settings as a featured artist and sideman. On any given day you will find him playing with an orchestra, at a piano bar, a jazz lounge, with a funk band, or on stage with bluegrass and country artists. His wide variety of musical aptitudes influences his playing and composing in a way that forges his unique artistic voice. He has performed regularly with ensembles such as the Washington-Idaho Symphony, the Wyoming Symphony, the Erik Bowen Trio, the Twirling Zucchini Trio, the Mood Elevators/Steve Johnson Duo, the Modern Art Duo, the Palouse Choral Society Festival Orchestra, the Idaho Bach Festival Orchestra, Soul Revival, Buck Wilde, Dave and the Gin Mill Gypsies, Catch and Release, Brian Jasper Hull, Big Brooklyn, Bard Hoff, Mark Sloniker, Ryan Fourt, and several more. In addition to a full schedule of performances Jo teaches bass at Casper College in Casper, WY, Front Range Community College - Larimer Campus, and maintains a private studio of up-and-coming bassists in Northern Colorado.
